In 2008, Gaia developed an online Earth Jurisprudence (EJ) Library in response to calls from the EJ network for a platform that draws together and provides access to the growing area of publications, legal precedents, principles, community stories of practice and other initiatives which advocate for this way of organizing ourselves and seeing the world.
This Earth Jurisprudence library below tracks key materials on Earth Jurisprudence, as well as topics such as Community Ecological Governance, Laws of Origin, Wild Law, Gaia Science and Resilience, Eco-Literacy, and principles including the Rights of Nature, Ecocide and Future Generations.
Thank you to all those contributing to the revival and practice of Earth Jurisprudence for sharing your wisdom and work. This is intended to be a constantly evolving resource of materials so please do contact us to recommend additional materials.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and not the gift.”
